On average over the past five years, we have sponsored 14 girls per year in Pakistan.
The following story is from one of our beneficiaries, highlighting her ambition and the obstacles that prevented her from completing secondary school before she was sponsored.
To protect her identity, the name of the girl has been changed.
Ambreen’s Story
“I want to become a doctor to serve underprivileged people, but it is only possible if you can provide me with financial assistance”
Ambreen is a very ambitious girl and wants to be strong in life through education. She has a sister and lives with both parents, but her father is the sole breadwinner. His income is not enough to pay for both of his children’s’ needs, so with the CGEF’s help, Ambreen has been able to stand on her own feet and continue her education without interruption.
“I am highly thankful for the sponsorship you granted means it enabled me to pay for my tuition fees, exam fees, books and transportation."
